Not all E-Cigs are Created Equal

BLU CIGS PRESIDENT URGES “BUYERS BEWARE”: NOT ALL E-CIGS ARE CREATED EQUAL

Look for E-Cigarette Companies with USA-Made Ingredients, Stringent Product Quality Control Standards

Charlotte, NC – February 17, 2012 – As the popularity of electronic cigarettes continues to grow, hundreds of small companies and individuals are scrambling to turn out a product – opting for lower production cost over quality just to capitalize on the buzz. But the industry is not without scrutiny from anti-smoking groups, governments and agencies, as well as public officials and lawmakers across the country. blu Cigs, the nation’s largest e-cig vendor, has long advocated quality control measures, and urges consumers to verify the reputation of their chosen brand by asking the following questions:

1)     Where does my brand make its liquid ingredients (known as ‘smoke juice’)? Many companies, in an effort to reduce the bottom line, source their ingestible ingredients from China under dubious quality control standards.

2)     Is my brand sold at reputable retail chains, or only online? Brands sold at retail have to meet higher standards from both retailers and insurance. Think twice before going with a company that sells only online.

3)     Can I see proper documentation if quality is called into question? General product safety and quality control testing documents should be readily available upon request. If they’re not, it could be a red flag something is amiss.

4)     Is my e-cig a ‘mod’?  ‘Mods’ are exactly what they sound like – e-cigs that have been modified in some way from their original form. ‘Mods’ are typically not produced by knowledgeable manufacturers or people with the required know-how to ensure safety.  Quite often these products use homemade components that are not designed to be used together, many of which have not been certified or tested to proper standards in their finished form.

“Testing and more importantly, continual testing as part of quality control is what differentiates blu Cigs and others from the dozens of ‘cowboys’ out there with garage operations looking to make a quick buck, and capitalize on a hot industry,” commented Jason Healy, President of blu Cigs. “We have always upheld the highest standards when it comes to our products’ safety and quality. As further proof of these measures, all of our ingestible ingredients are manufactured in the U.S.for better quality control standards. We’ve gone the extra mile to ensure the safety and quality of our products and to deliver the best possible experience to our customers.”

Charlotte based market leader blu Cigs is the only e-cigs manufacturer that can claim liquid ingredients that are 100% made in the USA, through an exclusive partnership with Wisconsin-based Johnson Creek Enterprises – which has enabled the company to become the largest domestic e-cigarette provider.

I only had this problem one time back when they were atomizer and cartridge were 2 different pieces but never had the problem in the past year and I have used classic tobacco, cherry crush, vanilla regular and now all of those in premium 100 ..try ordering the other color ie if you want black try Nat or visa. Versa? ?????? Good luck but don’t give up

  • James says:

No question that blucigs are hands down the best working, best produced and again no question the most convenient ecig on the market. Extra battery and pack that doubles as battery charger but anyone who has tried any knows this :)

  • liz says:

I love my blu!!!! By far the best flavor of any e-cig I’ve tried! And a whole lot of different charging options and a convenient in town place to buy the refills. Thanks Blu you’ve changed my life :)

  • MS says:

Not all blu ingredients are 100% made in USA. Only the flavor and nicotine is. Rest is added in factory in China.

    • Samuel says:

Where did you get the information that the smoke-juice is not all made in the USA? The packaging, the smoke-juice company and all the literature says that the juice is 100% made in the USA. If it were otherwise than there would be legal issues with the advertising. If you have something to support your facts feel free to share it with us. Until then, I would bet on the integrity of Blu and Johnson Creeks claims.

I sure hope that the post that said the liquid is NOT 100% made in USA is incorrect. If I discover that the liquid isn’t made here , it would be a deal breaker for me. I need to kno it is safe. Not full of toxic waste. If that’s the case I’ll go back to paper smokes. But for now ignorance is bliss!

Has anyone tried the new flavors? Thoughts?

I’m so glad you finally addressed the difference between blu’s and mods!!
Since, the recent bad press of a battery exploding, “It has been reported it was a mod”, Everytime, while in a public place people are now commenting on this. I have to explain these are not the same thing. This is just another reason more info has to be put out there that quaility is so important. Blu is a great company that does care enough to put out a great product. It upsets me to see “ALL” e-cigs put into one group because they aren’t all the same. It seems like two step forward and one step back. It’s just another reason for the public to bash something they have no knowledge about.
I’m true blu and love my blu’s, I have never had problem with them being out of stock, I order carts every month. The customer service is great. If I had problems with a bad battery, it was replaced. In the beginning I had problems with a fed ex driver but this has been fixed.
I thank my blu’s over and over for giving my husband and I the freedom of being off cigs for good. No smell, better health, no ash.
I also loved the fact we have converted several of our friends and they are in heaven, for the first time in years they don’t have to leave the group to go outside to smoke.
I still hate the fact when out in public many places still won’t allow you to use these. When out dinning or in some bars, I have had issues come up. Most owners say they would have no problem. It’s the uproar of the people around that cause such a scene they ask you to obey the non smoking laws…The public needs to be informed!!! This is vapor, not smoke!!!

Thank you blu.. I love your product

  • jessica says:

i just wish the disposable blu’s were a little cheaper. But I love the product.
